Raboso - I.G.P. Veneto

About This Project

Raboso is an ancient wine and its name comes from a tributary of river Piave. It is a red wine produced in the eastern part of Veneto.

Over the centuries, Raboso was the only wine exported by Serenissima to the eastern part of the world. Indeed, it is called also vin da viajo, wine for travelling.

In the past, when babies were born, families stored Raboso up until their marriage.

Raboso has a deep ruby colour with garnet tinges, a wonderfully broad and full bouquet of wild violets with a concentrated note of cherry. The taste is dry, full-flavoured, tannic, lightly tart and deeply satisfying.
